A Tale of Two Yarns: 2kcbwday1

Part of any fibre enthusiast’s hobby is an appreciation of yarn. Choose two yarns that you have either used, are in your stash or which you yearn after and capture what it is you love or loathe about them.

Untouchable Yarn
I have one skein of "Ribbon" yarn that I am almost sure I will never knit. I love this skein of yarn. It was expensive and is so beautiful I really don't know what I would knit with it that would give me as much joy as I get from looking at in when I am in my craft room working. I look at it all the time a just love it. I love the different ribbons that make up the skein. I love the bit of sparkle it has and most of all I love the colors. This really is one skien of yarn I tried really hard not to come home with.

Great Adirondack Yarn "Surprise"  color Persimmon
the picture doesn't do this yarn justice. There is cording, rick rack, lace, yarn all mixed together.

This picture on Ravelry shows all the different fibers pretty well.

Love? Hate? Yarn?

I have a love/hate relationship with the second yarn.

I have yet to meet a Noro yarn I don't like. I have made many projects over the years with noro. I love knitting with color and there is nothing like Noro and color.  I also love the "rustic" quality of the yarn.

So why do I hate it you ask? Because I can not stop knitting with it.

I can not tell you how often I have tried to find a non-noro project and ended up knitting another project with noro. There are 16 projects on my ravelry page alone!  (put noro in the search bar)

What makes it really bad is that there are so many more that I want to knit. How can you not love this stuff? Rav Link

Do I have noro on any of needles right now you ask? Well of course I do. I am knitting Mara with Taiyo color #4. It is a riot of color and I just love watching the colors come and go.
