Day Four: 31st March. Where are they now?

Today's Blog is about past projects and what has happened with them over time.
Looking back on my Ravelry project page I realized that most of my projects are gifts or class related. The class related projects are in a basket that students use for inpiration or examples.
What I do knit for myself are shawls. I was never a big shawl wearer until this past year. The smaller shawls have become one of my favoite things. I may attruibute that to the very cold and wet winter we had. That bit of cover makes a big difference. Especially in the evenings in my old drafty house.
The other way I enjoy these shawls is they adorn many a chair back around my house.
That way I can enjoy them even when I am not wearing them.

That's a great idea for the shawls, displays them nicely too. I guess you don't have any cats ? ;-)
Ya know, I did have a cat and he could careless about my yarn. Lucky me!
I'm so pleased I'm not the only person who uses shawls for furniture decor. I think it makes sense to have random shawls adorning furniture round the house for when a chill strikes. They are perfectly at hand and they look pretty too!

Thank you, I do love mine. I need to rotate a little more often though.
Hmm, I have blankets draped over sofas and chairs, but never thougt about doing that for shawls. They look great!
From Fay Lynn:
Oh yeah, retire those blankets for the summer.
I love the look of most smaller shawls, but don't seem to knit them much myself. They're just so perfect to toss on on a chilly evening in any season, and shawlettes work so well under blazers and coats. Hmm... you may have inspired me to get a shawl or two on the needles now!
