Creating Community One Stitch at a Time

I have been apart of the creative community for most of my life. From directing, performing and touring in music ensembles to participating in sewing, quilting, and beading groups and classes. I have met many wonderful people all around the country, but in my humble opinion there is nothing like a group of knitters.

Knitters Rule!!

There is something about putting 2 pointy sticks and wonderful yarn in someone’s hands that allows for great conversation, laughter and connection. I have seen what knitting and crochet have brought to peoples lives and that is why I am so passionate about bringing knitting/crochet to as many people as possible.

Marvels of Knitting is about creating a community with knitting as its foundation.

Is it possible we could change the world through knitting?

Why not join us and find out!

Who Am I?

My most recent endeavor was working and teaching at Unraveled Knitting in Monrovia, California for over 4 years. I learned a lot about yarn, knitting and people during that time. I also learned that teaching people to knit and getting them totally addicted to all things fiber is the most fun job I have ever had. I was a part of the most wonderful community of people and we were always having fun even if we were pulling things out and doing it again.

So when Unraveled closed in April of 2009, a very very sad day, I wanted to continue with what I was doing and decided to teach from my home in South Pasadena. I have to say that this is the most fun I have ever had.

Some of my past incarnations before Unraveled include,  music and handwork teacher at the Pasadena Waldorf School, Director of the Handbell program at my church for over 25 years. Wife to my genius husband and mother of 2 wonderful grown boys.
